David "Dave" Quentin

Graveside services for David "Dave" Quentin of Hugo were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2005, in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Rev. Doug McClure officiating.
Mr. Quentin died January 25, 2005, at his home He was 84. He was a heavy equipment operator.
He was born September 11, 1920 and had lived in Hugo since 1983. He enjoyed attending organization meetings of which he was a member and was actively involved in each of them. He enjoyed attending pow-wows, loved to fish and enjoyed making jewelry. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers, a member of the Cherokee Nation and Cherokee Elder's Council, member of the DAV, VFW, and American Legion Post 59, member of the Order of the Eastern Star, member of Ft. Towson Masonic Lodge No. 303 and Hugo Masonic Lodge No. 217, and Scottish Rite Freemasonry Shriner. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving relatives: His wife, Octavia (McCoy) Quentin.
Visitation was held Sunday, January 30, 2005, from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
