John Stephens
Killed in Motor Car Wreck
Fort Towson Enterprise – February 24, 1911 – transcribed by Ron Henson

John Stephens, who was so badly hurt Tuesday afternoon in a wreck of the motor car on the Pine Belt road, died Thursday morning about 9 o’clock. He was badly hurt about the head and face and internally. He gradually grew worse until he died. Frank Whitten, who was also on the car, was badly shocked, and at first was thought to be seriously injured, but soon got all right. With the exception of a few slight bruises, he is as well now as ever.
