E.B. Dyer
Fort Towson Enterprise – December 12, 1913 – transcribed by Ron Henson
Our town was greatly shocked Tuesday morning when the sudden illness of Mr. E.B. Dyer was reported, which developed that he had taken an overdose of morphine from the effects of which he died in less than hour. He was in his usual good heal good health [sic] up to the time of taking the medicine.
Mr. Dyer was a quiet unassuming old gentlemen [sic] and was well liked by all, who regret very much the sad ending of his life. His remains were laid to rest in Doakesville cemetery Thurday [sic] afternoon, after the arrival of his son, R.D. Dyer, of Groveton, Texas, and other relatives.
