John Gowan
Fort Towson Enterprise – October 4, 1912 – transcribed by Ron Henson

John Gowan, the man found dead in a cabin near Sawyer, was quite wealthy, and some of his relatives have been located in Kansas. He had a will on file, it appears, in Wichita, Kas., and this was read there last week, upon official notice that Gowan was dead. He was a 32d degree Mason. His remains were shipped to Pensylvania [sic] for burial.
