Morris Fisher
Fort Towson Enterprise – November 12, 1915 – transcribed by Ron Henson
Murdered With An Ax
Thursday afternoon at about two o’clock Morris Fisher and wife were found murdered in their home five miles southeast of Hugo. Both are Choctaws and have lived in that neighborhood for years. Their heads were chopped in with an ax. No particulars were available at this writing.
Sheriff Loftin and B.D. Jordan, assistant county attorney, left for the scene as soon as they were notified, and we understand the only son of the victims and two women were arrested and placed in jail.
