Tuesday, Dec 28th, at 2:4 a.m., the soul of H.B. Hand took its flight to the realms of the immortals after an illness of two weeks with pneumonia.
Harry Bradley Hand first saw the light of day in Canada Feb. 4, 1858, and at the time of his death was aged 57 years, 10 months and 27 days.
He was married in Ottawa, Canada 36 years ago. To this union was born four children, two boys and two girls. One of the boys preceded him to the grave several years ago, and he leaves a wife, one son, Charlie, and two daughters, Maude and Mrs. Soe [sic] Islinger of Ada, all of whom were with him at the time of his death.
Mr. Hand was a Mason and a Shriner and a member of the Methodist church at Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The funeral was conducted by Fort Towson lodge of Masons, and he was laid to rest at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 29th, under the beautiful rites of that most excellent Fraternal Order.
May “the peace of God which passeth all understanding” be the possession of the bereaved ones.
