Callie Vance
Fort Towson Enterprise – April 14, 1916 – transcribed by Ron Henson

Died – Mrs. Callie Vance, born in Decatur, Ala., in 1945 [sic] died April 8th, 1916, two miles north of Ft. Towson. She leaves two sons, two daughters and many friends. Her husband died 16 years ago, when the children were small, but she toiled like all faithful mothers do till she brought them to manhood and womanhood. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist church at the place of her birth. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.A. Smith at the Swink cemetery where her remains were laid to rest.
