Cleurin Davis
Fort Towson Enterprise – September 29, 1916 – transcribed by Ron Henson
Cleurin Davis, aged 22 years, was run over by a west bound freight and instantly killed about 11 o’clock Sunday night near Sawyer. It is supposed to have been another case of lying down on the track and going to sleep. He leaves one brother at Spencerville and two sisters in Texas. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.C. Morris Tuesday and the remains laid to rest in Doakesville cemetery.
