Dellie Griggs

    Mrs. Delie [sic] Griggs, 72, of Sawyer passed away on Thursday, February 10th at the McCurtain General Hospital in Idabel.
    Mrs. Griggs was born October 10, 1910 in Call Creek, Texas. She was a member of the Baptist Church and had been a resident of Choctaw County for most of her life.
    Surviving relatives include five sons, Orlen Harvey of Delta, Utah, Coy Harvey and Wiley Harvey of Sawyer, Roy Harvey of Messer and John Powell of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Mary Dell Johnson of Minot, North Dakota, Dorothy Hulsey of Hugo, and Lois Mullens, Doris Yarbrough and Sharon Matthews, all of Diana, Texas; a step-daughter, Mildred Fye of Iowa; a brother, Lester Formby of Lampasas, Texas; 56 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held in the Spencerville Church on Monday, February 14th at 2:00 p.m.
    Interment will be in the Spencerville Cemetery under the direction of Coffey Funeral Home.
