Preston C. Morehead

    Preston C. Morehead was born October 27, 1927 and went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ on November 28, 2004. He passed away with his family at his bedside at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas. Preston had fought a long battle with cancer. He was a devoted father and grandfather. Preston was a World War II veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 164 of Honey Grove and a member of First Baptist Church of Honey Grove, Texas. He was known by his family and community as an honest, hardworking, caring individual, who loved his family very much. He left behind a son, Larry Morehead and daughter-in-law, Diane; two grandsons, Preston Morehead and Ross Morehead and step-granddaughter, Kristin Nevils; special friend, Joyce Wright; brothers, John and Hal Morehead; numerous nephews, nieces and friends. He will truly be missed by all. Visitation was held from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove, Texas, with funeral service held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Glynn Tyson officiating. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery in Spencerville, Okla.
