Elmer Henry Elam

     Funeral services for Elmer Henry Elam of Hugo were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2004, at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo with Rev. Jerry Cooper officiating. Interment will be in Orrville, Calif.
     Mr. Elam died Friday, October 29, 2004, in Hugo. He was 84.
     Elmer was born on July 6, 1920 in Liberty, Texas, to W. Tom and Edith (Grenwood) Elam. He married Colene Marie Huffines on August 21, 1995, in Hugo. He had lived in Hugo since 1993 and had retired from Georgia Pacific, having worked at the lumber sawmill.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Dorothy Nowell Elam, one brother and three sisters.
     He is survived by his wife, Colene of the home; two daughters, Mary Upton and Kathy Strange of Oroville, Calif.; two step-daughters, Linda Davidson and Diana Young of Hugo; three grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and eight step-great grandchildren.
