Willis Young Fry

Willis Young Fry of Hugo passed away on November 11, 2005 in Durant at the age of 92.
He was born on April 13, 1913 in Boswell to Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Fry. He married Frances John on April 16, 1938 in Hugo and had lived in this area most of his life. Willis and his brothers owned and operated Fry’s Lumber Mill. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a Mason, a member of the First Baptist Church and will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one son William Patrick Fry.
He is survived by his wife, Frances of the home; two sons, Robert Martin Fry of Hugo and Henry Fry of Tulsa; one daughter, Edrie Ruth Chiles of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister Mrs. Edrie Fry Hacker of Jacksonville, Texas; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Willis Young Fry of Hugo were held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2005 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, with Rev. Doug McClure officiating.
