Jeff D. Walker Passes Away In Los Angeles, Cal.
Remains Enroute To Soper

Hugo, Nov 21 -- Jeff D. Walker, at one time prominent in republican politics in Choctaw county, died in Los Angeles, Calif., Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, according to word received here.
Walker was at one time republican candidate for sheriff of Choctaw county. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Monty Walker, who live on a farm east of Soper. A brother, M.E. Walker, is a member of the county election board at present.
Mr. Walker leaves a wife and two children, Inez and L.J., by a former wife who died several years ago. She was a sister of Mrs. Ernest Steen, of Hugo. He married the second time in Los Angeles, where he had been living four years. During all of that time he had been connected with a street railway company.
The body is en route to Soper, where it will be buried.
