John D. Aulgur
The Hugo Daily News, December 24, 1973

John D. Aulgur was born in Hugo Aug. 13, 1932, a son of Jess Aulgur, now deceased, and the former Miss Ethel Milam, whose father was Choctaw County's first county clerk.
Auglur [sic] lived here until 1950, when he moved to California. He returned to this area about a year ago and made his home with his mother, now Mrs. E.C. (Ethel) Maness, and stepfather at their home on Rt. 1, Powderly.
He also is survived by a brother and sister, Vernon Aulgur, of Hugo, and Mrs. Mary Amaral, of Freemont, Calif.; and five half-brothers and half-sisters, including William Person, of Broken Bow.
He was a Baptist and spent six years as a member of the National Guard.
