CARL WOODS WILL BE BURIED TUES.
Interment Will Take Place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery

Funeral services for Carl Woods, who was fatally injured in a highway accident about two weeks ago will be held at the Mt. Olivet cemetery at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning, according to information from the Snow Funeral Home this morning where the body has been held pending funeral arrangements.
Reverend Henry of the Nazarene church will officiate at the services.
Following the services interment will take place in the cemetery.
Woods died following his having been injured when he is alleged to have attempted to board a Montgomery Brothers Grocery Company, truck about two miles south of Hugo about two weeks ago.
Following the accident he was immediately brought to the city where an emergency operation failed to save his life.

Son of Mrs. Montgomery Died at Hospital Friday P.M.

John Davis Dale, aged 11 years, son of Mrs. Hattie Wilson Montgomery, died at the Doctor's hospital Friday afternoon following an illness of several days.
Funeral services will be held at the family residence at 904 East Jefferson at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Reverend C.W. Ferguson in charge assisted by Rev. Ernest Hicks.
Interment will be made in the Fort Towson Cemetery following the services here.
Besides his mother he is survived by his father, Floyd Dale of Paris, Texas.
Active pall bearers will be Cap Duncan, Ben Dean, Lionel O'Neal, Julius Frazier, Wren Moore and James Swartz. Honorary Pall bearers will be O.L. Blanche, D.A. Stovall, O.A. Brewer, T.W. Hunter, W.H. Funeral Held For Mrs. Ann Campbell

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Campbell who died at her home on East Duke street Sunday afternoon were held this afternoon at the First Methodist church with Reverend Ernest Hicks' officiating.
Interment followed in the Mount Olivet cemetery. Snow Funeral home had charge of funeral arrangements.

Pioneer Hugo Resident Died After Long Illness Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Campbell, aged 70 years, who died early Sunday afternoon will be held Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist church at 3 p.m.
Reverend Ernest Hicks will read the funeral service after which interment will take place in the Mount Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell died at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon after an illness of several months, and her death cast a pail over the city. She numbered her friends by the hundreds, all of whom mourn her passing.
Mrs. Ann Cooksey Campbell was born in Glasgow, Kentucky, January 21, 1865. She was married to W.N. Campbell at Oakland, Kentucky September 21, 1882 and to this union eight children were born; seven of whom survive their mother.
Mr. Campbell preceded his wife in death May 16, 1916, while a daughter, Mrs. Lon Wright, died in 1928.
Mr. and Mrs. Campbell moved to Hugo in 1901 where Mrs. Campbell had made her home until her death. Mrs. Campbell was a life lone member of the Methodist church, having joined at Brookston, Texas, in 1886.
Surviving relatives are her children, Mrs. Felix Smith, Homer Campbell, G.C. Campbell, Miss Bobbie Campbell all of Hugo, W.A. Campbell, Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Carlos Parks, Tulsa, and Mrs. Thomas Alexander of Paris, Texas.
Pallbearers at the services will be H.C. Lee, T.W. Tyler, H.M. Black, Bob Woodson, Joe A. Wolff, Max Wright and W.F. Breathwit.
Snow Funeral home will be in charge of funeral arrangements.

Burial Will Be Held Here Saturday Morning

Emery L. Kemper, aged 80 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.B. Sanders at 408 North G street Thursday evening at 7 o'clock.
Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend J.B. Ward, according to word from the Senner Funeral home which will be in charge of funeral arrangements.
The deceased has lived in this community since 1917, and was beloved by all who knew him.
Surviving relatives are, five sons, John of Tulia, Tex., Dee of Melrose, new Mexico; Max of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Charles of New Mexico, and Henry, of Mangum, Okla., and three daughters, Mrs. F.D. Greer; Waurika, Okla; Mrs. Claude Medlin, Spencerville and Mrs. A.B. Sanders of Hugo, at whose home death occured.[sic]
Pall bearers at the funeral will be James Milling, Bud Fly, Frank Shroeder, Ernest Broyles, Leonard Vanderpool and A.M. Merrill.
PERSON FUNERAL IS HELD HERE MONDAY
Burial of Aged Resident Took Place in Bennington

Funeral services for Mrs. Isophene Ellen Persons, were held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.F. Smith, Monday afternoon after which the remains were taken to Bennington where burial was had beside her husband who died many years ago.
Mrs. Persons was eighty six years old at the time of her death and had resided here many years.
Surviving relatives are, Mrs. W.F. Smith and Mrs. W.F. Wantland of Hugo and Mrs. Minnie Spencer, Ashland, Miss.; J.S. Persons and J.J. Persons of Hugo and J.F. Persons, Corpus Christi, Texas. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ernest Hicks, pastor of the First Methodist church, assisted by Rev. C.W. Ferguson, pastor of the First Christian church with the Senner funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Pall bearers were Pete Knox, Sam Ferrier, George T. O'Neal, Shad Dickson, G.C. Campbell and H.S. Gore.

MRS. NED JENNER BURIED MONDAY
Boswell Woman Died En Route to Hugo Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Jenner, aged 45, wife of Ned Jenner, were held this afternoon at two o'clock at the home of Ralph Jenner, the brother in law of the deceased.
Mrs. Jenner, died Saturday evening while en route to the Hugo hospital from the family home near Boswell.
Her body was taken to the Snow Funeral home where it was prepared for burial and then taken to the county attorney's home at 406 East Jefferson street.
Mrs. Jenner had been ill only three days before her death.
She is survived by her husband, Ned Jenner and three children, Ned, Jr., Helen Ann and David Jenner. Her mother, Mrs. Helen Boedecker, also of Boswell also survives.
Mrs. Jenner was born in Chicago, Illionois and moved to Boswell in 1917 and after living for a time in Shawnee returned to Boswell.
Pall bearers were Ben Dean, Cap Duncan, Cass Vandergriff, O.A. Brewer, F.M. Caldwell all of Hugo and Carl Schussler of Boswell.

Deceased Well Known In Scholastic Circles Over County

Ferman Lefever, 28, was buried in Mount Olivet cemetery this afternoon following services which were held at the First Baptist church here.
Mr. Lefevers died in a Durant hospital following a long illness, Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was well known in scholastic and athletic circles in the state.
While attending school at the Southeastern State Teachers college he starred in basketball and was all-state center one year in the collegiate circles.
He then came to Choctaw county where he began teaching at Grant. At that school he coached several basketball teams which gained state recognition.
He was also a member of the independent Hugo Daily News basketball team of 1929-30, which played games throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
He is survived by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Isom Lefevers, his widow and one child.

Pioneer Hugo Resident Died After Short Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sophia Simmons Triplett will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at the First Methodist church conducted by the Reverend Ernest Hicks, pastor.
Mrs. Triplett died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Warren at about 7 o'clock Wednesday after a brief illness.
Mrs. Triplett has been a resident of the city for more than a quarter of a century, making her home with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Warren.
The deceased was born in Nashbille, Tennessee, September 12, 1852. She was the daughter of Reverend Mrs. Robert M. Simmons, the former a Methodist minister.
She moved with her family while a child to Salem, Missouri and on May 7, 1873 was married to William Triplett. Only one child, Julia, who is Mrs. J.H. Warren, was born to this union. Mr. Triplett died January 8, 1907.
Mrs. Triplett has been a life long member of the Methodist church of which she at the time of her death was a devout member.
Surviving relatives are her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Warren, two sisters, Mrs. L.D. Nichols, Flat River, Missouri; Mrs. Ada Bennett, Salem, Missouri; two grand children, Mrs. Guy Hughes and Robert H. Warren, four great grand children, Bobbie Warren and Edward Warren, Mary Frances Hughes and Guy Warren Hughes.
Snow funeral home will have charge of funeral arrangements.
Pall bearers will be Bob Woodson, Gordon Moore, J.W. Claiborn, E.A. Burke, E.H. Bailey, J.L. Rodgers.
ANDERSON FUNERAL HELD THIS P.M.
Pioneer Citizen of City Buried in Mount Olivet

Funeral services were held this afternoon for Crawford Anderson, at the Methodist Protestant church at three o'clock with Reverend Paul Howell of that church officiating, with Reverend J.B. Ward, of the Clayton Avenue Baptist church assisting.
Interment took place in the Mt Olivet cemetery, following the services.
Pall Bearers were Charlie Johnson, J.H. Bright, W.M. McBee, J.H. Husk, C.A. Pitts, and R.L. Weddington.
Mr. Anderson's death came as a complete surprise to his many friends over the city. He was found dead in his bed at the home of C.O. Garner, early Wednesday morning.
He had been in good health prior to that time with the exception that he had been slightly ill with a "cold."
He is survived by three sons, B.M. Anderson, of Jumbo, Oklahoma; L.D. Anderson, of Antlers; G.B. Anderson, of Hugo; and one daughter, Mrs. C.O. Garner, of Hugo. He also is survived by eighteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Snow Funeral home.
MRS. A.B. TYUS DIED SATURDAY
Had Been Ill for Several Weeks; No Date Set for Funeral

Mrs. Myrtle Reed Tyus, died in a sanitarium in Paris, at four o'clock Saturday morning following an operation for appendicitis. She had been slightly ill for several months but was not considered dangerously ill until a few weeks ago.
No funeral arrangements had been announced late Saturday night on account of several members of the family who reside some distance away were en route to Hugo. Mrs. Watts, a sister, left Tuscon [sic], Arizona, Saturday by motor for Hugo but the time of her arrival is uncertain.
Mrs. Tyus was born near Paris, Texas, in 1884 and was married to Mr. Tyus on December 31, 1908 and to them the following children were born; Reed Tyus, Maurine Tyus and Martha Lee Tyus.
In addition to her husband and three children she is survived by four brothers and one sister. The brothers are J.T. Reed, former county superintendent here and now with the state board of education, Bob Reed, Tahlequah, Okla.; and Stephen Reed of Hugo, and Mrs. Watts of Tuscon [sic], Arizona.
Snow funeral home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Pall bearers at the funeral will be, Sid Caviness and Joe Armstrong, Caviness, Texas; J.A. Garrison, R.V. Johnson, Hugo; J.G. Barnes and C.P. Balch, of Hugo.
CHAS NORTON BURIED TODAY
Pioneer Hugo Citizen Died at Paris Wednesday

Funeral services for Charles Norton who died in the Paris sanitarium early Wednesday morning were held in the Snow Funeral Home chapel at 2:30 this afternoon.
Mr. Norton, pioneer restaurant owner of the city died after a short illness. His body was brought to the Snow home at about noon yesterday where it was held until today when burial took place in the Mount Olivet cemetery.
At this funeral home, Reverend Elkins, pastor of the Central church of Christ officiated.
All restaurants in the city closed during the funeral services this afternoon.
The veteran restaurant owner of the city, was one of the pioneer citizens of Hugo, having moved to this city in 1902. He came here from Howland, Texas, where he had moved some years before. He was born near Nashville, Tennessee.
Surviving him are four children, three son, W.C. Norton and Horace Norton, both of this city, and Elmer Norton of Tulsa and a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Frazier, of Fort Worth, Texas.
Pall bearers at the service were Rees Newland, Bob Jones, Carl Hansen, Howard Rorie, J.G. Wilkins and Chas. Stiles.
DANIEL I. HARTWELL TO BE BURIED TUES.
Veteran Business Man Died Early Monday Morning

Daniel I. Hartwell, veteran plumbing contractor and well known Hugo resident, died at a local hospital at 6:20 Monday morning after an illness of many weeks.
Mr. Hartwell had been ill for some time but was not considered dangerously ill until a few days ago.
He came to Hugo in 1910 from Rock Island, Ill., in which community he had resided many years. He was a native of New York where he was born on August 9 1853, and was therefore 79 years old at the time of his death.
After coming to Hugo and for many years thereafter he was engaged in the plumbing business but retired from active management several years ago. Since that time the business has been under the direction of his son Irving Hartwell. According to an announcement he is survived by one son Irving of this city.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at three o'clock at the Snow Funeral home chappel [sic] with Rev. J.C. Bobb, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Following the service interment will take place in Mt. Olivet.
Active pall bearers are W.J. Jones, Bob Jones, J.E. Burris, Willie Patterson, H.G. Hixon and J.L. Brindley.
