Joe “Bill” Hall

Graveside services for Joe “Bill” Hall of Valliant were held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2005, at Moran Cemetery in Valliant, Okla.., with Bro. Hershel Reed officiating.

Mr. Hall died November 29, 2005, in Idabel. He was 62. He worked for the utility department. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.

Bill was born September 5, 1943 in Valliant, Okla., the son of Claud V. Hall and Forrest (Peden) Hall and had lived all of his life in the Valliant area. He married Nora Grace Smith on May 28, 1965 in Valliant. His parents and a grandson, Anthony Hall, precede him in death. Bill loved fishing and hunting, working in his shop, gardening his roses and playing with his dogs. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family.

SURVIVING RELATIVES: his wife: Nora Smith; two sons: Michael Hall of Pocola and Terry Hall of Valliant; two daughters: Lydia Cantrell of Valliant and Melissa Halcomb of Ft. Towson; two sisters: Claudia Ensey Tatum of Valliant and Mary Heflin of Wister; eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.
