Katherine Morgan

Graveside services for Katherine Morgan of Grand Prairie, Texas, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2005, at Spencerville Cemetery in Spencerville, Okla., with Bro. Mutt Wallace officiating.

Mrs. Morgan died November 29, 2005, in Arlington, Texas. She was 82. She was a homemaker.

Katherine was born March 27, 1923 in Ardmore, Okla., the daughter of Thomas Shade Seymour and Hallie Bessie (Smith) Seymour. She was one of 14 children. Although she only attained a 5th grade formal education, she studied and proudly received her high school GED certificate in March 1990, at the age of 67. Most of her years were spent as a homemaker, but in her later years she worked at various nursing homes, day-care centers, and school cafeterias. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Eber Elmer Morgan, and by her son, Billy Ray Morris.

SURVIVING RELATIVES: 4 daughters: Veda Boyd and husband, Charles of Grand Prairie, Texas, Vera Boyd and husband, Robert of Plano, Texas, Mary Bushore of Burleson, Texas, and Donna Minyard and husband Michael of Ardmore, Okla., daughter in law Judy Morris of Oregon City, Oregon, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, two sisters, Amanda Booth of Hugo, and Pearlie May Holmes of Mineral Wells, Texas; two brothers: Charles Seymour of Sulphur, Okla. and Colman Seymour of Moore, Okla., along with many other relatives and friends.
