Marshall Trapp

Marshall Trapp, age 86 of Campbell, Texas, passed away on Thursday at a local nursing home. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2PM at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Benny Chaffin officiating. Burial was at Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Trapp was born on January 6, 1919 in Clarksville, Texas, to William and Lou Trapp. He married Maudie Skidmore on December 10, 1938 in Hugo. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Among his many trades, he is best remembered for owning and operating his vegetable stand in Campbell for over 20 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by sons, W.D. Trapp and Mary of Campbell, Delbert Trapp and Mary Jim of Hugo; a daughter, Peggy Wilkins and Spencer of Greenville; grandchildren, Toni Hamilton and Danny of Greenville, Kim Coffman and Andy of Campbell, Becky Ludwig and Dave of Allen, Scott Wilkins and Michaeline of Helendale, Calif., Leora Bouyssou and Alan of Campbell, Elizabeth Barnhart and David of Campbell, Tracy Kidwell and Josh of Hugo, Bryan Wilkins of Dallas, Chad Trapp and Donna of Hugo, and Nicole Wilkins of Greenville; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Fondren of Mesquite and Dorothy Wilson of Terrell; brothers, John A. Trapp of Hugo, William S. Trapp and Dessie of Campbell, and Thurman Trapp and Sharon of Sawyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, sisters, Betty Trapp, Stella Jeffers, and Mildred Martel; brothers, Henry Trapp, Eugene Trapp, and Herman Trapp.
Grandsons and grandsons-in-law served as pallbearers.
