Eugene “Gene” H. Weaver

Funeral services for Eugene “Gene” H. Weaver of Bokchito were held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2005, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with Bro. Hershel Reed officiating, assisted by Bro. Jim Staggs. Interment was in Moran Cemetery in Valliant.

Mr. Weaver died December 2, 2005, in Durant. He was 79. He was a truck driver, member of the Elk Lodge and a member of First Baptist Church of Bokchito.

Eugene was born September 20, 1926 in Paducah, Texas, the son of John Henry and Ila Lenora (Fennell) Weaver and lived in the Mound Grove community until he was 26. He has lived in Bokchito for the last 25 years. He married Yvetta Reed on September 20, 1990 in Valliant. Gene was a retired truck driver and enjoyed tinkering with small engines. He liked being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Geraldine “Sugar” Cunningham and 1 brother; Curtis “Son” Weaver

SURVIVING RELATIVES: his wife; Yvetta Weaver, 3 sons; Mike Weaver, Tim Weaver, and Curtis Weaver all of Eufaula, OK, two grandchildren; two sisters; Myra “Bootsie” Smith of Valliant, OK and Maxine McGee of Broken Bow, OK along with many other relatives and friends.
