Funeral services for Gwenetta Williams, 55, of Hugo, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 in the South Central District Building. Mrs. Williams died December 15, 2005 at Choctaw Memorial Hospital.

The Life Journey of Mrs.Gwenetta Williams
Mrs. Gwenetta Williams was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 21, 1950 to the late Levi McQuietor, Sr., and the late Fannie Lee McQuietor. She was a member of the Baptist Association in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She truly loved serving the Lord.
Mrs. Gwenetta Williams believed in the importance of having an education. She was a graduate of Hugo High School and she attended the School of Business for two years at Bishop College in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Gwenetta Williams was an employee at Sears Department Store for over 10 years in sales and marketing. After leaving Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she became an activist in the community for many years. She was a member of the NAACP and she became an honorary member of the Washington Community Center, assisting with the fundraising committee. Mrs. Gwenetta Williams loved people and she enjoyed helping them in times of their despair. She received numerous awards for her hard work and dedication to the community. Mrs. Gwenetta Williams was a dedicated wife and a loving mother. She believed in the traditional concept of family. Mrs. Gwenetta Williams will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones and friends.
On December 15, 2005, Mrs. Gwenetta Williams was called home to rest with her heavenly father. She leaves to cherish her memories: Her husband, Allen Williams of Hugo, Oklahoma; two children, Franchesca Williams of Hugo, Oklahoma, and Orlando Bell of Paris, Texas; two sisters, Francine Morris of Hugo, Oklahoma, and Lola Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Leroy McQuietor of Ionia, Michigan, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Levi McQuietor, Jr.
Funeral services were conducted at the South Central District Building on Friday, December 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. The Officiant was Rev. Roylia Akins and the Interment took place at Crosley Cemetery. Dinner was served at West Kiamichi Street Church of Christ dining hall.
