Rites for Floyd Drumright Held
Son of Soper Couple Died December 29 in WestThe body of Floyd Drumright, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Drumright, of near Soper, was expected to arrive in Antlers Monday afternoon from Riverside, California, where he died December 29.
Funeral services were planned for Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Soper Baptist church. Burial was to be in the Walker family cemetery east of Soper.
Young Drumright died in a Riverside hospital after suffering an acute attack of appendicitis, for which he underwent an operation.
He was a native of this section and had spent most of his life in Choctaw county, where the family is widely known. Until last fall, when he went to California to continue his education, he had lived with his parents in their home north of Soper. He attended Sugar Creek and Soper schools, where he made a good record as a student and a football player.
He is survived by his parents and one brother, Harry Drumright, whose home is in California. He was a nephew of Tubby Walker, of Kent.
