Elizabeth Burrough

Elizabeth Burrough passed away on January 11, 2006 in Hugo at the age of 88. She was born on December 24, 1917 in Prague, Okla., to John Franklin and Sally Belle (Hill) Morrow. She married Odie Miller Burrough in Ada on December 24, 1939. She received her B.A. degree in education from East Central State College in Ada. Elizabeth had taught school for 30 years in Greenwood, Kellond, Dale, Shawnee and moved to Hugo in 1968 where she retired from the Hugo school system in the spring of 1978. She was a member of the Church of Christ, OEA, Delta Kappa Gamma, Kappa Kappa IOTA and School Marms. She will be greatly missed.
Elizabeth is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Burrough were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2006 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Donnie Bates, Colin Webb and Herman Burrough officiating. Interment was in Antlers City Cemetery.
