Clyde David Luper

Funeral services for Clyde David Luper of Millerton will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006 in Spirit Rock Church - Millerton, Okla., with Bro. Troy Ruffin officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Garvin. Mr. Luper died January 22, 2006 at his home in Millerton. He was 66. He attended Spirit Rock Church.

Clyde was born June 16, 1936 in Garvin, Okla. the son of John and Sendie (Aubrey) Luper He was preceded in death by 2 sons; Clyde David Luper, Jr. and Charles David Luper, his parents and brothers; Bill Lechliter, Lee Luper and Doc Luper. Clyde is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 50 years, Beaulah Luper of the home, one son; Billy Luper and his wife Tammy of Garvin, one daughter; Bettye Mowatt and her husband Steve of Elmore City, Okla., two brothers; John Lechliter and Marvin Luper both of Valliant, one sister; Bertha Luper of Vinita, Okla., 9 grandchildren; Chris Arnold and fiancée, Christine Bruce of Durant, Brooke Horn and husband Shawn of Pottsville, Ark, Shea Hedrick and fiancée Brent Holt of Oklahoma City, Clay Luper and wife Darrah of Hochatown, Okla., Jason Mowatt of Elmore City, Okla., Jarrod Mowatt of Eugene, Ore., Josh Mowatt of Ada, Okla., Ray Cahill and fiancée Hope Womack of Garvin, Okla., and Dovie Cahill of Garvin, Okla., great grandchildren are; Joe Lisa Richards and KeyShaun Cahill of Garvin, Okla., Bralen and Chaselin Luper of Hochatown, Okla., and Megan Arnold of Durant, Okla.

Numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family are spread across the United States.

Clyde was employed as a truck driver for McCurtain Co. Dist. #3. He loved the outdoors and shared a passion for deer hunting with his son. He believed the “early bird got the worm” and would get up early each day to enjoy the sunrise. We knew him by the name Honey, Daddy, Papa, Friend and Dude and we’re all blessed by his love and guidance. We will love and miss him always.

The family received friends Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the funeral home.
