Alvin S. Pyle

Alvin S. Pyle, a resident of Detroit, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2006 in Talihina, Okla., at the age of 77. He was born on June 21, 1928 in Antlers, Okla., to Carolton and Fay Pyle. He had lived in this community for 40 years. He married Judith Ann Wakefield on October 16, 2003 in Paris, Texas. Mr. Pyle was a rancher and a diesel mechanic. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Benita Burgess.

Mr. Pyle is survived by his wife Judith Ann Pyle of the home; five sons, Alvin S. Pyle, Jr., of Baytown, Texas, Gregory Pyle of Durant, Shawn Pyle of Powderly, Texas, Michael Williams and Steve Williams; one daughter, Sharon Flemming of Portland, Ore.; one brother, Calvin Pyle; four sisters, Vivian Mumford, Lavina McAlester Phoenix, Fannie Roberts and Nancy Brown; 18 grandchildren, Steven Pyle, Lisa Dittman, Faith Henry, Adriane Krenos, Jason Pyle, Sarah Pyle, Aaron Pyle, Andrea Pavlovsky, Eric Pyle, Shauna Pyle, Sheila Pyle, Michelle Pyle, Patrick Pyle, Denise Whitaker, Mark Bevin, Nita Ishcomer, Rachel Williams and Eric Williams; seven great grandchildren, Jessie Bevin, Phillip Henry, John Henry, Alexanda Krenos, McKayla Pyle, Skyler Pyle and Elias Pyle; and numerous other family and friends.

Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2006 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
