Alfred A. Walker

Funeral services for Alfred A. Walker of Boswell were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at Boswell Methodist Church with Bro. Herb Ridgewater officiating. Interment was in Restland Cemetery in Boswell.

Mr. Walker died January 21, 2006, in Boswell. He was 81. He was a farmer and rancher and had served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Boswell American Legion, Kiwanis Club, Blue Lodge and Masonic Lodge.

Alfred was born October 16, 1924 in Bennington, Okla., the son of William Henry and Bessie Levada (Yancey) Walker and had lived in the Boswell community all of his life. He married Cleta Felmet on June 24, 1989 in Meeker, Okla.. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Evelyn Nicchols, and Mildred Martineau and an infant brother; Zephry Zealand.

Alfred loved ranching and was not afraid of a hard days work. He also enjoyed traveling and had visited every state in the union.

SURVIVING RELATIVES: his wife; Cleta Walker of the home, two sons: Alvin Walker of Boswell and Danny Walker and his wife Cindy of Boswell, one daughter; Lavada Power and her husband Mickey of Haworth, Step-children; Steve Brackett and Pam Dunavin, Tom and Reba Criswell, Virgil and Rebecca Fowler, Carl Brackett, and Scott and Patty Brackett, one sister; Opal Ribera of Durant, one brother; Leon Walker of California, and 13 grandchildren; Mickey Power, II, Danna Walker, Christina Walker, Megan Walker, Tessa Manning, Ty Burgess, Jennifer Harrison, Craig Brackett, Kerri Brackett, Karen Brackett, Kourtney Brackett, Kristina Fowler, Brian Fowler along with a host of other friends and relatives.

The family received friends on Monday, January 23, 2006 in the funeral home.
