Winnie Charlene Wilson

Winnie Charlene Wilson of Soper passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at her residence in Soper. She was 65.
Winnie Wilson was born September 6, 1940 in Fannin County, Texas, the daughter of Charlie and Arlie Irene (Rowden) Rogers. She served in the Air Force and lived in Dallas, moving back to Soper in 1986. She was a member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church for the past 10 years. Winnie loved being a wife and mom, she raised chickens and all types of animals. She married David Wilson on October 19, 1964 in New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Rogers, her parents and a grandson Jesse Matthews in 1998.
Surviving relatives: Husband, David E. Wilson of the home; three daughters, Mary Jane Jackson of Cedar Hill, Texas, Christiana Rucker of Soper, Ellon Matthews of Enid, Okla.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel & Tiffany Wilson of Antlers, David & Gaylyn Wilson, Jr., of Muskogee, Michael Watson of Honda, Texas; sister, Mirna Lynn Goins of Cedar Creek Lake, Texas; daughter-in-law, Becky McKee of Soper; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with Rev. Silas McFarland officiating. Interment was in Soper Cemetery.
