Billy Joe Deviney

Billy Joe Deviney, 60, of Wylie, Texas, passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 26, 2006. Billy was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 16, 1945. His parents were the late William and Arlie (Wood) Deviney.
He served in Vietnam with the United States Navy. He married Alecia Hall on November 23, 1989 in Durant.
Billy was a sprinkler fitter with the Local 669 Union prior to his illness. He was a member of the Northlake Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. Billy was an avid sportsman, loving to fish and hunt and enjoying the outdoors.
Billy is survived by his wife, Alecia Deviney of Wylie, Texas; five sons, Zack Deviney of Fort Worth, Texas, Greg Deviney of Fort Worth, Texas, Joe Corbett of Oklahoma, Jim Corbett of Denton, Texas and Jeff Corbett of Princeton, Texas; two brothers, Vernon Deviney of Bismarck, Ark., and Kenneth Deviney of Sallisaw; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 30, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Northlake Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. Rev. Bob Dean officiated. Graveside services were in Boswell at the Restland Cemetery on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home, Wylie, Texas.
