Orville Kaley

Orville Kaley, a resident of Hugo, Okla., passed away on Friday, January 27, 2006 in Paris, Texas at the age of 70. He was born on March 8, 1935 in Charleston, Ill. to Orvel and Wilma (Wilson) Kaley. He had lived in this community for 37 years, after coming here from Charleston, Ill. He married Peggy Baggett on February 14, 1957 in Shawnee, Okla. Mr. Kaley was a retired teacher; he
served in the Air Force National Guard from 1957 to 1965; he was Assistant Civil Defense Director in 1980 and a reserve police officer in Hugo. He painted murals on the walls at the Hugo school and had a photo shop in 1970 to 1972. He was active in Hugo Little Theater and a member of the American Woodturners Association. He loved motorcycles, hunting, fishing and playing pool. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Charles Brian Kaley.
Orville is survived by his wife Peggy Kaley of the home; son, Marc Kaley of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Regina Pulliam of Hugo; one sister, Anita McKinney of Charleston, Ill.; five grandchildren, Raymond Kaley, Krystal Hockett, both of Lawton, Jacob Pulliam, Kaly Pulliam, both of Hugo, and Dean Pulliam of Wisconsin; five great grandchildren, Mariann, Blaine, and Jaydin Hockett, Kaleb and Madison Kaley.
Funeral services for Orville Kaley of Hugo were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at First United Methodist Church in Hugo with Reverend Kay Buchanan officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. The family received friends Monday, January 30, 2006 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Hugo, OK, 201 E. Kirk St.
