Bobby Towery

Graveside services for Bobby Gene Towery of Valliant were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2006, in Oak Hill Cemetery in Broken Bow with Bro. Troy Ruffin officiating.
Mr. Towery died January 24, 2006, in Valliant. He was 73. He was a truck driver and served as an Army Ranger in the Korean War.
Bobby was born April 23, 1932 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the son of Grady and Gladys (Coates) Towery and had lived in Spartanburg, S.C. most of his life but lived in Valliant for the last three years. He married June Wyatt October 24, 2002 in Mena, Ark. He loved to fish, camp and enjoyed walking. He also enjoyed carpentry. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors inlcude his wife; June Towery, one daughter: Kathy Lynn Hawkins and her husband Wayne of Inman, S.C., his parents Grady and Gladys Towery of S.C., two brothers; Ken Towery and Gary Towery both of Woodruff, S.C. four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews from the Swink area along with a host of other family and friends.
Family received friends on Friday January 27, 2006 at Mrs. June Towery’s home.
