Zelma Binkley

Zelma Binkley, 73, of Poteau, passed away Feb. 16 at Poteau. She was a longtime resident of the area. She was a skilled weaver and enjoyed helping others. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Wister.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Rouse; her husband, Rev. John Binkley; and her parents, Cary and Catherine (Thornton) Baldwin.
Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Jackson of Tahlequah; three sisters, Betty Sims, Geraldine Bloodworth and Mary Glenn, all of Hugo; one brother, Joe Baldwin Sr., of Hugo; one grandson; one great-granddaughter.
Services were held on February 17, 2006 at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Interment was in Monroe Cemetery.
