Nettie James

Nettie Alpha James, a resident of Boswell, Okla. passed away on Monday, February 27, 2006 in Durant, Okla. at the age of 98. She was born on March 29, 1907 in Nolan County, Texas to William Tate and Roberta (Henderson) Ledbetter. She married Ernest David James on July 6, 1926 in Watonga, Okla.. She had lived in this area since 1946 after moving here from California. Nettie was a homemaker and a member of the Boswell First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest on February 8, 1953, four brothers, eight sisters and two grandsons. Nettie is survived by five sons, Bill James and wife Willie, Gene James, Ronnie James and wife Pam and Joe James all of Boswell and Jerry James of Hugo; five daughters, Mae Hudman of Sacramento, Calif., Fern Bichsel, June Garner and Sue Moore all of Boswell, and Darlene Williams of Hugo; twenty one grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2006 at Boswell First Baptist Church in Boswell with Reverend David Watkins officiating. Interment was in Restland Cemetery in Boswell.
Family received friends Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Boswell First Baptist in Boswell.
