Susie Roberts

Funeral services for Susie Roberts of Valliant were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 in Miller & Miller Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Melvin Holleman officiating. Interment was in Valliant Cemetery, Valliant, Okla.
Mrs. Roberts died April 16, 2006 at Hugo Health and Rehabilitation, Hugo, Okla. She was 92. She was a homemaker and had worked at Sears & Roebuck. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was born July 5, 1913 in Blossom, Texas, the daughter of Davis Lee Mabry and Clara Bell (Hancock) Mabry and had lived in Valliant since 1987. Susie enjoyed working outside in the garden, always wanted to go places, was a fan of Charley Pride, Elvis Presley and Jimmy Dean and loved being with her family and friends, She especially loved her grandchildren. She married Tom Roberts in 1962. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother.
SURVIVING RELATIVES: one son: Robert Prince and his wife, Shirley of Valliant; one daughter: Bobbie Sue LaCaze and her husband, Ernest, of Ft. Towson; one step son, two step daughters, several grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
The family received friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the funeral home.
