Lorena Baugh

Funeral services for Mrs. Lorena Baugh, a resident of what now is Choctaw County for 72 years were held this afternoon in th Baptist Church at Ft. Towson. The Rev. Bill Golden, of Hugo, officiated, and Coffey Funeral Home, Hugo, made interment in the Oakes Cemetery near Frogville.
Mrs. Baugh died Friday night shortly after arrival at Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for some time but had been at home more recently.
She was born May 19, 1882 in Red River County, Tex. She came to Indian Territory from that state when she was 14 years old. Her home was on Rt. 4, Ft. Towson. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Frogville.
One daughter, Mrs. R. M. (Myrtle) Smith, is the most immediate survivor. Fifty-seven other descendants also survive with a foster son, Earl Maynard, of Ft. Towson; and six nieces and nephews whom she reared: Buster Burchfield, and Horney Burchfield, of Rattan; Mrs. Loedith Miller, of Farris; Mrs. Katie Callicoat, and Mrs. Clara Moors of Atoka; and Mrs. Sue Norvell, Cyprus, Calif.
