Mrs. Harriet (Oakes) Cody

HUGO, Okla. - Mrs. Harriet Cody, 902 South I, Hugo, died Saturday, Feb. 27, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital.

Services are scheduled at Lampton - Mills Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, with the Rev. Loy Elkins officiating and burial in Choate Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Cody was born June 28, 1900, in Choctaw County, a daughter of Charles and Margaret Buchanan Oakes. She was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County.

Surviving are one son, Gene Cody of Hugo; one daughter, Mrs. Nina Dumond of Arlington, Tex., two sisters, Mrs. Martha Smith and Mrs. Florence Dodson; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
