Glyna F. Hope

HOPE, Glyna F. “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10), 76, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & great-great grandmother of Oklahoma City passed away May 5, 2006. She was born October 20, 1929 in Hugo, OK to Ray & Vera Nash. A dedicated secretary at Tinker Air Force Base for 20 years, Glyna took a brief leave of absence to serve as a secretary in the office of the Oklahoma City Mayor. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and a member of Knob Hill Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was married to Samuel Evans Waganer who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by her husband Edward Hope, three sons and their wives; Mike Waganer & Jackie of Joplin, MO; David Waganer & Karen of Jefferson City, MO; John Waganer & June of OKC; three stepsons; Edward Hope of Mustang, OK; James Hope & his wife Kathleen of OKC; Mike Hope of OKC; fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one sister, one brother, numerous family members, and many dear friends. Services to honor & celebrate her life were held on Monday May 8, 2006 at Knob Hill Baptist Church 2700 S. W. 59th OKC with interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Services directed by Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary/South OKC, OK.
