STOW -- Reverend John C., 79, of Waynoka, OK, passed away Monday, January 29, 2007, in Alva, OK, following a long illness. Stow was born on February 28, 1927, in Vici, OK, to Archie Stow and Gertie (Larison) Stow. Upon graduation from Oklahoma City University, John became an ordained Methodist Minister. This led him to the Soper-Boswell United Methodist Churches, where he met his wife of 20 years, Carole Dean Bozeman. John and Carole were united in marriage April 12, 1953. Carole preceded him in death in Muskogee, February, 1973. John met and married, Lorene Bixler, in Waynoka, January 3, 1981. His first wife, Carole, his parents, sisters, Nila Foale and Lola Burns, brother, Cecil Stow, preceded John in death. Survivors are wife, Lorene; children, Glenn and Cate Stow, Shawnee, Cheryl and Ken Dobbs, Afton; grandchildren, Tim Bradford, Edmond, Emily and Jakey Dobbs, Afton; sisters, Wilma Roush, Wichita, KS, and Ortha Lawrence, Oklahoma City; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Wesley United Methodist Church, El Reno, OK, Rev. Richard Cato officiatiing. Internment: Soper, OK.
