William Self
 
William P. Self, a former resident of Hugo and a member of a Choctaw County pioneer family, died today at his home in Grove, Oklahoma.

He was 96.

Survivors include his wife, Ester; a daughter and son-in-law, Opal and Bill Ailes; a grandson, Billy Ailes; two great-grandsons' a brother, Thomas Self of Hugo; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services are set for Friday at 2 p.m. in the Darrough Pavillion, located in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

Rev. Bill Stone will officiate, The Sherman-Woodard Funeral Home of Grove is in charge of arrangements.
