Hugoan’s Father Is Killed In Accident The father of a Hugo school teacher was killed Friday when a motor crane backed over him at a construction site near Okay. William A. Beadell, 60, of Wagoner was dead on arrival at a Muskogee hospital. He was the father of Mrs. Melvin Endicott, music teacher at Hugo junior high school. She left immediately for Wagoner after learning of the accident. Mr. Beadell was an employee of the Stanley Barber Construction Company of Fort Smith, Ark. He had been working on the relocation of State Highway 16 at the Verdigris River bridge near Okay. Mr. Beadell formerly lived in Hugo when he worked for the Waldron Construction Company, sub-contractor for the bridges for the Indian Nation Turnpike by-pass. Services will be at Fort Scott, Kan., with Cheney Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
