Elmer D. Corn The Hugo Daily News – March 23, 1965 Transcribed by Ron Henson Corn Services Held Today in Shoals Church Services were today at 2 p.m. for Elmer D. Corn, 87, of route one Grant, who died Sunday at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. The rites were in the Shoals Baptist church with Rev. M.N. McFarland officiating. Burial was in the Shoals cemetery, with Masonic graveside rites. Coffey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Corn was born Aug. 11, 1877, in Lamar county, Tex., and had lived in the Grant community 85 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Hugo Masonic Lodge. Survivors include a son, B.D. Corn of Grant; a stepson, G.R. Wood of Ervin route Hugo; five daughters, Mrs. Joe Johnson of Hugo, Mrs. L.V. Kitchens of Grant, Mrs. G.W. Shaw of Tulsa, Mrs. J.C. Wilkins of Ervin route Hugo, and Mrs. T.H.
