Hughes Rites Set Friday At Boswell

Jessie James Hughes, 83, longtime Boswell resident whose wife, Mrs. Georgia Hughes, died last Nov. 30, died Wednesday in a Durant hospital.

Services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Boswell Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Kresse officiating and burial in Restland Cemetery.

Coffey Funeral Home of Durant is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hughes was born April 10, 1886, at Ladonia, Tex., and had lived at Boswell most of his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Boswell Baptist Church.

Survivors include seven children, J.V. of Durant, Wayne, Clifford, Tex., Benny and Harold, all of Boswell and Mrs. J.T. Johnson of Houston, Tex.; three sisters, including Mrs. Lavada Benefield and 34 other descendants.
