Wilbur O. Rhodes The Hugo Daily News – February 10, 1970 Transcribed by Ron Henson Former Hugo Trainman Dies At Houston Wilbur O. Rhodes, 83, died Saturday in a Houston, Tex., hospital. Services and burial, with Masonic graveside rites, were Monday at Houston. Mr. Rhodes, a retired Frisco railroad conductor, lived at 1042 Donavan Road in Houston. A native of Bakers City, Oregon, he had lived at Houston the past five years. He was a Frisco employee 53 years and was a member of the Clayton Avenue Baptist Church. Hugo Lodge No. 217 AF and AM, the Brotherhood of Trainmen and Grand Lodge No. 702. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. H.S. Surratt of Houston and Mrs. Robert L. Bell of San Antonio, Tex.; a son jack H.
