Short The Hugo Daily News – January 19, 1970 Transcribed by Ron Henson Rites Set Today For Richard Short Funeral services for Richard C. Short, 82 year old retired farmer living at 706 North G Street, were set for 2 p.m. Monday in Coffey Funeral Home chapel, burial to be in Spring’s Chapel cemetery. Mr. Short died shortly before noon Friday in Memorial Hospital after illness. He was a native of Texas, born Dec. 4, 1887, a son of Fred A. and Lula (Green) Short. He was a Baptist, a retired farmer and a resident of the Hugo area 66 years. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Senie Short; two daughters and three sons. They are Chester Short, Hugo; Mrs. Bonnie Hensley, Arkoma; Mrs. Eula Lambert, Grant’s Pass, Ore.; Reuben Short, of Crane, Tex., and Fred Short, Riverside, Calif. Thirty two other descendants survive with one brother and three sisters.
