Vansickle Rites Pending

Newman Vansickle, member of a well known Boswell area family, died this morning in the Veterans Hospital at Bonham, Tex., according to a call to Coffey Funeral Home here, which will be in charge of services.

The Vansickle home is on Route 3, Boswell.

Vansickle Rites Held Saturday

Funeral services for Newman Vansickle, 37, whose home was on Rt. 3, Boswell, were conducted Saturday at 2:30 o’clock in First Baptist Church, Boswell. Rev. Milton Kresse, pastor, officiated, and Coffey Funeral Home, Durant, made burial in Restland Cemetery.

Mr. Vansickle died Friday in the Veterans Administration Hospital at Bonham, Texas. Born Jan. 1, 1933, in Antlers, he had lived in Choctaw County most of his life. He was a Korean War veteran and a former machinist.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lois Vansickle, and daughter, Virginia Ann, who live in Oklahoma City; his mother, Mrs. Ollie Vansickle, of Boswell, a brother and two sisters, all living in Boswell. They are Noel Ray Vansickle, Mrs. Dixie Linn and Mrs. Joan Ticknor.
