Mary E. Wright The Hugo Daily News – January 19, 1970 Transcribed by Ron Henson Mrs. Wright Dies Early This Morning Mrs. Mary E. Wright, 74, of Swink died at 4:10 this morning at Memorial Hospital. She had lived at Swink all her life. Services are pending With Coffey Funeral Home. Mrs. Wright was born March 6, 1896 [transcriber’s note: possibly 1895], at Sawyer and was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include four sons and four daughters, Mrs. Opal Stenning of Swink, John of Fort Worth, Lynn of Landa, Wyo., Gilbert of Midwest City, William Earl of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Ethel Lee White of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Maxie Mae Johnson of Proser, Wash., and Mrs. Georgia Eden of Modesto, Calif.; a brother, Bill Murray of Idabel; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Wright Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church at Fort Towson for Mrs. Mary E. Wright, 74, of Swink who died Monday. Rev. Fred Myrick will officiate and burial will be in the Swink cemetery. Coffey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
