J.D.Young was my great-grandfather. Is there someone in Craig county that might know where he is buried? I would like to know what he died from, illness or accident, if he had an obituary, and if he was with family or if he died alone.

Thank you for taking the time to read my message, and any information will be appreciated.

Hello Eddie, I am not sure if the John Wesley Revel you wrote about in your query, is the same John Wesley Revelle I have in my files. I'd be more than happy to share all I have on my John Wesley Revelle with you. I do not show he was married to a Tempia (McCord), but that doesn't mean they are not the same man, and that I just didn't have that marriage recorded. First let me begin with dates I have on John, so that at least you can verify if this is the same man.

I show John Wesley Revevel(le) born 1-8-1893 in Cornwall, MO & Lived near Knob Lick, MO. John died 6-19-1959. Is this the same man you are writing me about? I show he 1st married in Madison Co., MO on 7-11-1920 to Nannie Irene "May" (DeClue) Revelle (b. 3-26-1896 d. ?).

Re: Revel family - McCord Family Related?   707B

Query posted by Davey, Lynette on February 02, 2005 for , SCOTT, MCCORD

I was looking through my files and was trying to find Tempia (McCord) - assuming McCord is her maiden name? I came across this information below, and was wondering if Tempia was related to these people? (Keep in mind, I do not research McCord folks), this info. was just in my files related somehow to my I assume to my Revel(le) genealogy research.

I have a Mattie C. Scott-McCord (b. Abt. 1850 d. ?) born MS (maiden name unknown married Joseph W. McCord (b. Abt. 1837 d. ?) born AR

Joseph McCord's known children:
Aynna McCord (b. Abt. 1884 d. ?) born AR
Harrison McCord (b. Abt. 1888 d. ?) born AR
Morton McCord (b. Abt. 1890 d. ?) born AR

I do not know the man Mr. Scott, that Mattie C. married prior to marrying Joseph W. McCord. I do show that Mattie and Mr. Scott had one known child together as follows:

Joel Scott (b. Abt. 1895 d. ?) born MO

Mattie and Joseph McCord's family appears on the 1900 Scott County, MO Pierce Township 1900 Census in Household # 505.

Just a shot in the dark, but you just never know.

James H. WIMER & Permelia E. FRANKLIN, 1870's, Cherokee Indians, OK   757A

Query posted by Stevens, Dr Dixong on February 15, 2005 for , WIMER, WEIMER, FRANKLIN

Incorrect Email address shows at the head of this message. Correct email address is dixondoc@adelphia.net

Searching for any sibling, parental, and/or ancestral information on James H. WIMER (born 1875-Cherokee Tribe, Native American) who married Permelia E. FRANKLIN (born 1873 in Downeysville, Indian Territory, Oklahoma; Died in Vinita, Craig Co, OK) in 1986 (location of marriage is unknown). Permelia's ancestry is known for several generations back. It is the WIMER ancestry that is of major interest. James & Permelia had two known children: (1) Jacob F. WIMER (born 1897); and (2) Permelia E. WIMER (born 1900). Both children were also listed as Cherokee Tribe, Native American. Am most interested in finding out more about The WIMER family, as I am involved with attempting to help a local family discover their Cherokee connection. Any information, including leads to others researching the WIMER/WEIMER and FRANKLIN families who have Cherokee connections, will be greatly appreciated. Will trade information!

Hazel Fisher
Frank Fisher
Otis Ray Fisher

Child of VERDIE READY and UNKNOWN Fisher is:
i. CLARENCE3 Fisher, b. 1908, Oklahoma.

Thank You,
Linday were not Seaton's children, they had to be very close relatives with their connection with the BARNES.
Following the obituary of Thomas Vickers and Nancy's daughter, Sarah Melvina Ready Cox that was in the Glade Springs record and their request for a letter to move in 1895, they were found near Welch, OK.

1900 Census
Kimson, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory (Oklahoma)

I cannot locate any other the other Ready children that were on the 1900 Census except John W. Ready with his wife, Ethel M.

1920 census
Twp 1, Craig CO, OK
Thomas and Nancy with grandson, Clarance Fisher

Death Record for Thomas Vickers Ready:
Son, John W. Ready is informant.
He knew his father was born in Vernon COO, MO. He cited his own father as Thomas Victor Ready, his grandfather as Thomas Victor Ready. There is no information on Thomas Ready's mother. Like Seaton Edward, he consistently stated that he was born in Missouri, his father in Kentucky, his mother in Illinois which matches the 1860 Census. There are no other Ready's found in Vernon County on the 1860 Census, except Seaton Ready.

It is unknown what happened to Nancy E. Barnes Ready after Thomas' death. No death record can be found on her in Oklahoma, though, I have been told they are both buried there in Welch. Since she is not on the Census in 1930, I suspect she may have died there before 1930.

There are several articles in the volume 2 Craig County Ok history book about the man, Judson Clemons Trundle who had two brothers, Clint and Dave and a sister, Tennie. It was written by an Elizabeth Trundle Hudson. There is also a small piece in the volume 1 on Judson's son, Robert. I believe that contact can possibly be made with her. I have some Woolery family info that I have gathered through the years as they married into other Craig County people in my database and my husband knew some of them. I don't have a connection with this family, but this is off the Native American Links site: http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/index.htm
Go in and on front page click on Index and Database of Rolls, scroll down and click on Index to Final Roll-data base. Click on down button for Cherokee under tribe, then type in Wimer for last name, click search. Will bring up Wimer's. Click on 10781 under card and will bring up your family. You can order this Dawes Jacket and worth every bit of the $10.00 they charge. Has lots of vital information including Cherokee Roll, Department of Interior, land info, etc. There use to be a simple place in here to show how to order this, but they changed this site and you will have to look around in here on how to order. Good luck!

This is listed in the Native American Links

On front page click on Index and Database of Rolls, scroll down to Index to final rolls-data base, click on that and brings up a box. Click the down button to put in Cherokee, then Trotter for last name and W, for first, then click search. Will bring up one W S Trotter. Click on the 3615 and will bring up the census card for this family.

This is showing that a W S Trotter and Louisa were parents. The next parents are Thompson and Caroline Fields. So this to me means they had a daughter named Caroline and married Thompson Fields with their children listed. It would be worth ordering the Dawes Jacket on this family which has lots of vital information. In my Cherokee by Blood book a Louisa Trotter was rejected having me assume the blood comes from W S Trotter
