Buried in the Confederate Section of the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma

He came to Indian Territory in 1889, probably from Louisiana and made his living as a carpenter

The Southern Cross of Honor was applied for October 16, 1915

His date of death is taken from the index to pensions in the state library
