Private

Company H, Lanes Regiment, Texas Cavalry

Born May, 1842 in White County, Arkansas

Died April 5, 1914 in Kingston, Oklahoma

Hardy Brittain was listed in the 1900 and 1910 census and was living west of Wynnewood at that time but originally came to Indian Territory in 1895.

Sometime between 1911 and 1914, he moved to Kingston, Oklahoma.

He enlisted in the Confederate Army on March 9, 1862, in Texas.

Hardy married Elizabeth C. on December 12, 1861 in Shelby County, Texas.  Elizabeth was 69 years old and living at Katie when she applied for a pension in 1915.
