Died January 11, 1934 in Ardmore, Oklahoma

Buried at RoseHill Cemetery in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma, in the Confederate section

Samuel lived in Cook County, Texas before coming to Indian Territory in 1898. He was in Ada, Oklahoma in 1920

He was paroled in 1865 in Washington County, Georgia at the end of the war

Samuel married Nancy Catherine Price on November 26, 1866 in Benton County, Arkansas. She was born in Grainger County, Tennessee in 1842
