Company K, 5th Missouri Infantry

Born November 28, 1841 in Daviess County, Kentucky

Died June 15, 1918, Wynnewood, Oklahoma

Died of myocarditis and sclerois

Buried in Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and does have a military marker

Benjamin married Martha Elizabeth Epperson. in 1866 in Perry County, Tennessee. Some list her as being born November 28, 1941in Bloomfield, Missouri and passing September 25, 1918, but Martha's tombstone shows 1845 - 1932.  Cemetery records show month of death as June

Benjamin lived in West Plains, Missouri prior to coming to Indian Territory

He was a Justice of the Peace

Their grandson and granddaughter in Sulphur, Oklahoma do not remember much about them, except that they called Benjamin "Judge"
