Born November 18, 1838 in Mississippi

Died January 21, 1921 in Ardmore, Oklahoma

He is buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore where there is a military stone in the Confederate section which does read H.T. Long, died Jan 21, 1921, aged 81 years, although his wife is buried at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood and there is an Iron Cross at this location which indicates he is here between his wife and son.  She died in 1905 and he remarried so he may be buried in Ardmore where his lived in the veterans home at that time

His wife, Nancy J. Beaty Long, is buried at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, beside him if he is there.  She was born November 7, 1843 and passed on November 27, 1905

Henry was living in the Wynnewood area before remarrying and moving to Sulphur then going to live in the Ardmore Confederate Home, being admitted there April 12, 1915.  He died there of uremic poison

While in the Wynnewood area he owned a cotton gin and at one time managed the cotton oil mill.  In 1898 and 1900 he was a Wynnewood City Councilman.  Long Street in Wynnewood is named in his honor

Son Henry T, August 14, 1876 - August 30, 1894, is buried in Oaklawn Cemetery also.  There are several other Longs here also, that may be related, Charlie, Detta, Ella, Sadie & Sylvester
